Still Figuring Things Out? You’re Not Alone
1. What if we don’t have a clear diagnosis yet?
We can still begin with function-focused therapy based on symptoms while you continue medical investigations.
2. Can you help with both cognitive and physical decline?
Yes. Our cognitive therapist works closely with the physiotherapy team to build integrated movement + memory plans.
3. Is therapy still helpful in late-stage dementia?
Yes, though the goals are different we focus on comfort, safety, calmness, and preserving dignity in daily routines.
4. Do you treat conditions like Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) or Multiple sclerosis (MS)?
Yes. We support post Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) recovery and help manage motor issues in Multiple sclerosis (MS) with strengthening, balance, and adaptive routines.
5. Do you work with pain related neurological issues?
We help with chronic pain that causes secondary movement issues (like fear of movement, guarding, or weakness).
6. What if my parent is just slowing down, but hasn’t been diagnosed?
It’s still worth assessing. Slowness, unsteadiness, or forgetfulness may be age related or early signs of something more.
7. How do you help if someone forgets instructions easily?
We use visual prompts, consistent cueing, simplified steps, and caregiver involvement repetition builds results.
8. Can therapy help with emotional changes like agitation or withdrawal?
Yes, movement, rhythm, and routine can have a powerful calming effect, especially when delivered gently and consistently.
9. What if my parent doesn’t want to come for therapy?
We’ve worked with many families facing this. We’ll help you approach it with care, and can sometimes offer in clinic trials to ease them in which is ideal, or we do home therapy, in a surrounding which they are familiar with
10. Do you help plan for long term support if conditions worsen?
Yes. We guide families through realistic goal setting transitions.
